The recruitment is a collaboration with Jefferson Wells, but you will be employed directly by Volvo.
As the Director of HR/People & Culture, Health & Safety, you will play a crucial role in the Köping Plant Organization and the Köping Management Team. We are looking for a leader who can leverage clarity, curiosity, change capability, and experiences to drive value-added actions.

Your team will consist of a group of highly engaged professionals, including 2 Safety Managers, 5 People & Culture Partners, 2 competence specialists. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Plant Manager, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Plant Management team and the Volvo Powertrains People & Culture global network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, guide, mentor, develop, and support your team to achieve excellence.
- Contribute to the Volvo Group's long-term People & Culture plan by implementing P&C activities/processes aligned with business strategy and goals.
- Drive processes such as People growth, Performance Management, Competence Management, Change Management, Sourcing Management, Compensation & Benefits, Inclusion & Diversity, Labor Relations, Health & Safety and everything else that comes under your radar and is impacting the people perspective and performance of the plant.
- Drive P&C initiatives in alignment with the Volvo Performance System (VPS) ways of working and within VPS, lead the focus area for People Development (PD) with a solid business acumen.
- Build and maintain professional networks across different business functions and plants, collaborating with peers, unions, key business partners, and stakeholders to achieve excellence.
- Emphasize the power of communication, creating awareness within teams and the organization.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity to build trust within the organization.
Critical Competencies and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent area of expertise.
- Several years of experience in a qualified HR managerial role, including leadership experience in an organization with well-developed HR processes.
- Personal attributes such as persistence, good prioritization skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of service and cooperation.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of strategic thinking and tactical execution.
High presence on site is necessary, and we expect you to live in or relocate to the region.
