On behalf of the customer, we are now looking for a dedicated and curious operator for a small-scale facility at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. About the company

The company is a leader in science, process architecture and technical solutions to produce sustainable fuels. The facility is primarily intended for demonstrating technology as well as producing product samples and researching and developing new processes, testing catalysts, optimizing existing processes and collecting data for technology. The capacity today is 40,000 litres per year.

About the role

The role of the chemical process plant operator includes conducting experiments on the plant, monitoring and controlling operating parameters, collecting data, and compiling experimental documentation reports.

Your duties

  1. Development of test plans based on available initial data.
  2. Development of process diagrams.
  3. Preparation of mechanical work packages for installation work, based on process diagrams.
  4. Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  5. Monitor raw material consumption and final products.
  6. Keep records of critical process parameters.
  7. keep records of analyses of samples of raw materials, intermediates, final products and by-products.
  8. Development of reports on the results of experiments.
  9. Discussion of test results with the technical leader.
  10. Provide suggestions to optimize the process.

We are looking for you who

  1. Diploma certificate or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (completed or ongoing)
  2. Has knowledge of processing of renewable and non-renewable raw materials, organic chemistry,
  3. Is familiar with traditional petrochemical processes.
  4. Speaks and writes fluent English.
  5. Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Meritorious experience

  1. Knowledge of the technology for processes for the production of ethanol and fuels.
  2. Knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of alcohols and propellants.
  3. Knowledge of the operating principles of the main process equipment: reactors, columns, tanks, pumps, compressors.
  4. Knowledge of the basics of industrial safety in chemical production.
  5. Microsoft Office.
  6. Written and spoken.

Scope of the position and access

Full-time, consulting assignments starting September and duration of at least 6 months.
